CCTV / Door Access / Intruder Alarms

We have conducted a number of CCTV installations in London schools
including automatic gate systems, video access and alarms.

We also carry out domestic intruder alarm installations.

We install from single door - multi door i.e. flats and office door entry
systems and maintain these if required.

We also carry out P/A and V/A systems in office buildings.

Fire Alarms

We have carried out addressable multi-zone fire alarm systems in offices and schools.
We carried out the installation of a large fire alarm system for a primary school on behalf of Westminster Council in 2003.

At Polaris we design, plan and install domestic fire alarm systems too.

Data Cabling and Network Services

Polaris conducts full data and network installations from extra data points to designing and planning complete integrated data installations.

As approved Installers we use the LAN Connect Enhanced 5E Network system for the cable infrastructure. LAN Connect 5E is a high performance UTP copper cabling system meeting the most demanding requirements of the generic cabling systems as defined in the latest International, European and UK standards for information technology cabling. The system provides a guarantee of true 'Category 5 Channel' performance using the ITT Cannon 808, 8-pin modular jack connector and its' associated connecting hardware together with specified 100 ohm, in screened twisted pair (UP)
cable types.

Each installed Category 5, LAN Connect 5E channel carries 25 year performance guarantee that is valid from the completion date of an installation. Supporting products include a comprehensive range of patch
panels, floor/surface mount boxes, wall outlets, fascias, patch cords, cables and accessories all utilising the modular 808 Category 5 RJ45 connector.

At Polaris Power and Data Ltd our engineers have had to attend special training courses to be able to supply and install the LAN Connect 5E.
